Dominic Soong named "Top 20" MVC (Most Valuable Coach) - across Canada, across all sports - in Chunky's search for coaching excellence

Dominic Soong of Ottawa, has been named a "Top 20" MCV (Most Valuable Coach) in the Campbell's Chunky search for coaching excellence. The contest was jointly sponsored by Campbell's, TSN and the CAC (Coaching Association of Canada). Dominic is a fully certified NCCP Level 4 national coach and former #2 world ranked doubles specialist. He has invested over thirty (30) years building badminton across Canada as a coach, mentor, player, volunteer, and sport builder. Dominic's work has included player development programs from the grass roots level to national/international level of play.

In the congratulatory letter received from John Bales (Chief Executive Office of the Coaching Association of Canada) and Anne Yourt (Corporate and Brand Communications Manager Campbell's), Dominic was praised by statements which included: "The comments provided by members of your community tell the story of an inspiring coach who demonstrates true dedication and makes a real impact both on and off the field. It is a unique story that stands out as one of the most remarkable among the hundreds of nominations we received from across Canada. We commend you for your outstanding work and congratulate you on this well-deserved recognition”.

Dominic would like to extend his thanks to Kevin Luo for submitting his nomination, and to all those across the country who submitted notes of support, recognition and congratulations.
