Deep River Badminton Club was awarded the 2008 Cropley Shield

The Deep River Badminton Club (DRBC) was the recipient of the 2008 DRCA Cropley Shield for exceptional achievement as a member club on November 27. Recognition of the success for junior development in the past several years was cited for the award. The honour is accompanied by a one-thousand-dollar cash award that will be used for junior coaching clinics and subsidies for out-of-town travel for junior tournaments.
Deep River Community Association (DRCA) is made up of some 50-plus community clubs in Deep River and surrounding area. There were four other applicants for the 2008 award.
