Badminton Canada released the seeding for the 2010 Canadian Masters Badminton Championships in Kelowna, British Columbia. Ottawa’s RA Badminton Club will have strong representation amongst the seeded entries lead by 17 times National Champion Ian Bishop. Bishop is the top seed in Men’s Singles 60+, Men’s Doubles 60+ and Mixed Doubles 60+.

Shirley Graham is the top seed in Mixed Doubles 75+ and is seeded second in Women’s Doubles 75+. Wilf Cote is the top seed in Men’s Singles 70+ and second in Men’s Singles 65+ as well as being seeded 3rd in Men’s Doubles 70+. Solange Cote is seeded 4th in Women’s Singles 65+.

Peter Christensen joins Bishop as one of the top seeds in both Men’s and Mixed Doubles 60+ and Lynne Burn’s is the top seed in Women’s Doubles 55+.

Chris Dorey is the top seed in Men’s and Mixed Doubles 50+ as well as being the top seed in Men’s Doubles 45+ and the seventh seed in Mixed Doubles 45+.

Bryan Blanshard and Mike Levasseur are the top seeds in both Men’s Doubles 40+ and Men’s Doubles 35+. Blanshard is also the top seed in Mixed Doubles 40+ while Levasseur is the second seed in Mixed Doubles 35+.

Matches commence April 26, 2010 with players from Japan, Pakistan, England, the United States, Trinidad, Peru and Lithuania taking on the large Canadian contingent.
