Welcome
Swallow Badminton Club has been playing at the same location - Ottawa Adult High School at 300 Rochester Street, Ottawa (see map below) since the mid-1970's. We are affiliated with the Ottawa District Badminton Association (ODBA) and hence, members can participate in all Ontario Badminton Association (OBA) sanctioned tournaments.
We emphasize the social aspects of the game.
We organize events such as the Christmas party, Lunar Calendar New Year celebration, badminton skill improvement clinic and internal/external club tournaments.
We will accept 50 members for the 2008-2009 season.

Our club's annually elected executives will ensure every club member has an enjoyable playing experience with sound and open financial management of the club's affairs.
The majority of our members have been with the club for many years. About half of our members play at an intermediate level. Our members know each other on a first-name basis. We emphasize recreational games and we are glad to share and offer valuable experience and assistance readily.
We use a queuing system to ensure equitable amount of playing time and desirable game level for everyone.
Changing room facilities are available to members and guests.
Nylon shuttlecocks are provided during game plays.

Ottawa Adult High School at 300 Rochester Street, Ottawa, is serviced by regular OC Transpo (click) bus routes No. 3 and No. 316.
Route No. 3 travels nearby on Preston Street and route No. 316 travels along Rochester Street, Gladstone Avenue and Preston Street.
Parking is free for club members and guests during game hours at school's designated parking area.
Badminton courts are located at the lower gym, one floor below the parking lot via the side building entrance.There are four badminton courts with high ceiling, well lit lighting and laid with a well maintained hardwood flooring.
